Death Penalty Speaker Thursday!
Ray Krone, the 100th person to be exonerated from Death Row since 1973, will be speaking at the State College Peace Center Thursday night at 7:30. Come and learn from someone who knows!
Darfur!
Tonight we will be doing a BIG action attempting to shed some more light on what is actually happening in the Sudan: historical context, what's happening now, different players in the conflict, international response, etc.
Come on by if you want to know more about the biggest humanitarian crisis of our times.
Also, if you can't make it, check out the ANGEL page under "Presentations," I will be loading the powerpoint on there!

Events this Week!
Today (Sunday), there is an officers meeting at 307 HUB. All are welcome, we'll be getting dinner afterwards!
On Tuesday, we are co-hosting a Spaghetti Dinner with Rescue Childhood entitled "All You Can Eat for Kids on the Street." It costs $5 for all-you-can-eat pasta, and goes from 5-8 p.m. Our share of the money will be going towards stopping the practice of using child soldiers, and RC's share will go towards their shelter for street children in the Dominican Republic.

We will have our usual weekly meeting on Wednesday at 7:30 in 316 HHDev. Bring a friend!
On Friday, some of our members will be going to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in D.C.! If you need info about this, e-mail our co-coordinator Claire McManus at cmm5128@psu.edu. Spots are pretty much full, but if you contact her early Sunday, you may be able to get on the roster.

Welcome to the Amnesty Site!
In our never-ending attempts to keep our members and schoolmates well-informed about the goings on in the world, we have created this site! We would like to use this as a forum for Amnesty-related issues, as well for keeping everyone updated about what we're doing here at Penn State. So, feel free to comment on any of our postings, and, if you're a AIPSU officer, feel free to post anything relevant to the club on this site . . . YouTube videos, links to other human rights sites, links to news articles, your own thoughts and opinions . . . You name it.
Enjoy, and peace!
Enjoy, and peace!
